France are hoping to be crowned champions of a major international tournament once again on home turf this summer. Having battled their way through the group stages, les Bleus have been handed a fairly easy route to the final having played the Republic of Ireland in the Round of 16 and minnows Iceland in the Quarter Final stage.

Joachim Low’s Germany side now meet France in the semi-finals after overcoming Italy on penalties in the Quarter Finals. Die Mannschaft have looked in great form at times, but in that draw against Italy and the goalless tie with Poland in the group stages, we have seen the weaknesses of the World Cup winners at times in this tournament.

Waiting for the winner of this showdown in the final will be a Portugal side who it's fair to say are yet to hit their best form in this tournament. The Seleccao failed to win a game in the group stages, qualifying as one of the best third-placed teams under the new format and they didn't even manage to win their first two knock-out games en route to the final.

Given that they have already reached the final, Fernando Santos' men are the favourites to lift the trophy right now, but no matter which team they'll play at the Stade de France on Sunday evening, they'll have to perform better than they have all tournament to win.

With the home advantage playing such a big part, we can see les Bleus going all the way in this tournament. They'll take advantage of Germany's injuries to win in the Stade Velodrome tonight and they have a stronger side than Portugal, so don't be surprised to see Hugo Lloris lifting the trophy in front of an adoring nation in the capital on Sunday evening.
