MATCH RESULTS

FRANCE

As mentioned, this is a team with some supreme talent, particularly through its spine. While Hugo Lloris is one of the best keepers in Europe, he then has Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial in front of him in central positions.

Clearly a team that oozes class, they will be backed by a passionate group of fans that believes in this team. Perhaps more than any other squad, France has many contenders for players to light up Euro 2016.

Pogba will of course demand attention, but in Antoine Griezmann they have one of the in-form players in Europe right now.

Find out all about France

Romania

Remarkably, Romania went unbeaten in Euro 2016 qualifying and they are a very well drilled and dangerous outfit. Do they have as much attacking qualify as France? Definitely not – but they’re tough to beat.

They kept seven clean sheets in their ten qualification matches and this says it all.

ALBANIA

Not many expected Albania to qualify for this competition, but they made it through thanks to some massive performance and results in qualifying.
The 1-0 victory at Portugal will go down as one of this team’s most famous days, while the 3-0 success at Serbia has to be praised too.

Clearly this is a team that will not let the occasion overcome them, while in Shkëlzen Gashi they have a creative spark that their Group A opponents have to watch out for.

SWITZERLAND

Finally, we have Switzerland who are a tough side to predict. On paper, they have the makings of a very solid unit – but it doesn’t always seem to go to plan in major tournaments.

You’ll recognise a number of the squad members - Philippe Senderos, Xherdan Shaqiri and more have plied their trade in the Premier League.

Can they step up and beat top quality opposition in Euro 2016 though? Do they have the fight in them to come through tough battles in France?

Two defeats in qualifying to England suggests that they are a good side, but not a great side and they’ll perhaps come unstuck against top opponents, but back themselves to grind out results elsewhere.
