Group C is now finished with Germany and Poland finishing in the automatic qualification places to reach the last-16.

Neither side was magnificent, but they are through and will look to improve in the knock-out stages.

Northern Ireland then finished third and will wait to see if their three points is enough to make it through, while Ukraine are on their way home after three defeats from three.

The latest Euro 2016 betting odds have Germany down as the favourites and rightly so. They are the World Champions and even though their form has been inconsistent during the recent friendly matches - you just know they'll turn it on when it matters.

Even at the 2014 World Cup, they didn't look unstoppable in the group stages, but got better and better as the tournament went on. Then, as Mario Gotze will be always remembered, we know what happened next.

With the likes of Muller, Mesut Ozil, and Gotze - Germany have a wealth of talent and a coach that has been with this group of players for some time. Joachim Low will know how to progress from this group and will not take any team lightly.

What a story it was that Northern Ireland made it this far. One of the smallest nations in qualifying, they upset the odds and booked their place at Euro 2016. One thing for sure is that they and their excellent fans will add a LOT to this tournament.

The fact that Kyle Lafferty - who has barely kicked a ball in club football this season - is their main goal threat perhaps says a lot about what they are up against this summer. However, it's a huge, huge team effort and don't expect them to roll over for anyone.

Should they get off to a winning start against Ukraine - who knows what can happen?

Every team in Group C will know they've been in a game after facing Ukraine. They take no prisoners and will not be afraid to be physical. It's what makes them a tough team to beat, highlighted by the fact that they only lost three times in qualifying.

Two of these defeats were to Spain and each defeat was 1-0. Ukraine are not a side that rolls over and they are not a side that leaks goals. You'll do well to find a more well organised and drilled unit in France this summer.

They'll of course need a star man to see them progress in Group C, someone to propel them from tough to beat to winning crucial games. This man could be Andriy Yarmolenko. He's been integral to Ukraine for a number of years now and scored crucial goals to get the team to France.

According to the odds, Poland are the team that'll run Germany closest. If Group C was to go to form and expectation, they would probably finish as runners-up to the World Champions.

This is largely down to one man - Robert Lewandowski. He's the man that'll lead their line and ignite their hopes in France this summer. A World Class striker, his presence alone means they have the potential to beat most teams in Europe.

He's heavily featured in the top goalscorer odds too and the open clash against Germany really could be one of the best matches in the early stages of Euro 2016.
